Momentum . . . .

Well, looking around the blogs abit I'm noticing more and more people who use it as brief descriptions about what they've been doing for the past few days OR combinations of pictures and even more descriptions about outings they've been to and stuff.

I for one, love it. . . . .and I really don't think its just me.

I mean how can you not ? Its like reading the gossip column of the masses. And occasionally, you get rewarded with some eyecandy as well. Eheh. What? Its not the ONLY reason I read blogs. Sheesh. And you might be asking why don't I follow the masses in posting pictures of me going out with flashy outfits and fleshy women . . . . ? I don't know really. I guess for me its easier to get whats in my head out rather than trouble my head to remember what I did 2 nights ago in some bar/club .

Either way, writers and their writings have been spurring our imaginations and have been one of the best outputs for individuals for time immemorial. And so, I've decided to put down a few of the writers whose work has intrigued and at times inspired me.

Neil Strauss ~ I tip my hat off to a man who can seduce as many women as he has based on 'charm' alone and actually write a book about it. However, thats not why he's on this list. He wrote the book title The Game which was about him infiltrating the ranks of pick up artists and learning from them in the process becoming the best of them. Though the book was not a step by step guide to picking up women as I initially thought it would be, it WAS one of the most interesting and entertaining books I have read till .
Robert E. Howard ~ Mostly for creating the character Conan the Barbarian. I guess it was more to the stories he found himself in. Stories which tell just how treacherous and selfish the world sometimes is, and though equipped with nothing but personal honour and wit , anything is possible.

Neil Gaiman ~ Where Conan was a character whose story revolves around him treading through his everyday life, Neil Gaiman manages to take things from your everyday life and introducing them into fantastic stories with all kinds of characters who , amazingly , have deep personalities and idiosyncracies of their own. In other words, Neil has the ability to take something and make a universe out of it.

Spider Jerusalem ~ Okay, this one is a fictional writer/reporter but not one to be overlooked either way. Coming from the graphic novels Transmetropolitan , SJ is an outlaw writer who rights wrongs and stick it up to the man through the written medium and succesfully inspires the people of his country to fight against an insane megalomaniac president who was gunning for him . His story draws some similarities into some real life issues regarding politics and he reminds me of a real life blogger that i know of but thats about all I'll say. Either way, Transmetropolitan is a story fueled with anarchy , idealism and conspiracies with Spider J right at the centre of it all.

Bram Stoker ~ For the man who gave us the Vampire and introducing a new kind of horror to the world. . . . . I bet he's turning in his grave right now with the release of the Twilight , New Blood movies. . . . .hell even The Count from Sessame Street was a whole lot better.

Well I wanted to add more of writers like Dante, Mary Shelley but I'm just too darn lazy. I have a very very very limited attention span. If anyone has any writers or books/stories that they think is any good, do tell. I'm aching for a good read.

MPDG

Manic Pixie Dream Girls. Thats what Hollywood has coined their larger than life female characters who seem like every man's perfect dream girl. Two of the best examples of these MPDGs are Natalie Portman in Garden State and Audrey Hepburn in the timeless classic Breakfast at Tiffany's . Both these characters exude charisma, wit and are gorgeous to boot.

Its these characters that make us, men look for something unattainable and you women try to be something unachievable. However, not all is lost. My personal opinion on this matter would be there is no such thing as a dream girl BUT there is a girl that dreams are made of. A girl that you know is going to be in your dreams not because she's tall, nubile, with model good looks but because there is just SOMETHING about her. Be it the way she smiles, the way her nose wiggles when she laughs or even the slight glitter in her eye when she listens to your lame assed jokes. Now thats a girl dreams are made off.

I know I know I know . . you're asking yourself "This little shit has been reading too much romance novels and watching too many chick flicks " . Well thats where you're wrong , gumbo. Meet the girls that MY dreams are made of :

The Green Princess : Possessing a peculiar kind of beauty ( almost 'fierce' in a way). Admittedly, I didn't really think much about her the first time I met her. But after getting to know her through chats, threats regarding a pool cue if i remember correctly and her semi-unhealthy fascination hairstyles I became more and more intrigued by this Green Princess.
She carries herself with an interesting flair that for some reason makes me a little speechless whenever I'm near or talking to her . Its annoying really. I think its because she's just THAT girl. The girl with 'the girl next door' looks and 'she's one of the guys' attitude. A potent combination which drove me clinically insane just thinking about it. Heh. Best part is, she doesn't know about it at all.
Anyway, she's the type of girl you don't meet much in one's lifetime . .. which makes me wonder whether I should shake her boyfriend's(past, present and future) hand or ripe his fucking spine out.

The Ice : Intelligent. Charming. Sexy. Beautiful. Obscenely Rich. And about the funniest person I've met. I'm not much for older women but by God, they don't make em like her anymore. A self-titled cougar with a certain taste for lackluster men and a raging sex drive. Seeing her work her stuff . . . its like watching Marilyn Monroe work Frank Sinatra, JFK and his wife at the same time. Hahahaha.
However, therein lies the tragedy.Beneath the sultry smiles, the sexual innuedos and the endless flirting and more . . . .there lies a sad lonely girl. Due to tragically frustrating personal problems, endless cigarettes and bad love her self image has been going down the drain in torrents and in the process losing her self worth. Its is truly sad to look at her in the state she sometimes find herself in and to watch her drown in her whirlpool of despair and tragedy. Yet, I do believe that she only needs the right person to love her for who and all that she is and walk through both their lives hand in hand together.

The Girl from Sangrias: Okay this one is just one of those random people you see when you're out which you just canNOT get out of your head. Hell its been so long ago I don't even remember why I went out in the first place. Face of a pixie-nymph , body like a battleaxe. She.Was.Gorgeous. Fucckkkkkkkk.

Anyway,I wanted to post a few more but I really don't wanna risk reliving any old depressing feeling that come up once i start recalling them.
I'm just saying that for those of you guys who keep thinking about this dream girl that will suddenly appear out of nowhere for you to sweep into your magic castles . .. . wake the fuck up. These girls are all around you get to know them.
And as for the ladies, whenever you feel down or just think you're about the ugliest/stupidest/shortest/whatever person in the world . . .wake the fuck up. Chances are, you're in someone's dreams.

Tribute

Here's a tribute to my high school headmaster , Reverend Bro Paul Ho who played many roles to many a student in St Xavier's Institution. Teacher, Mentor, Fellow Football Fanatic, Disciplinary Badass and Master Baker(always gets the laughs when said during assemblys lol). He retired on the 19th of June and had a grand ceremony and a dinner to boot. I would've gone too if i wasn't stuck a gabazillion miles away in Ausland. Pfffft.

I've always thought of Bro Paul to be a man of the students . A very good example of this trait in the man would be his baking classes. Every school has a few classes where the students just aren't kicking it in the academic department and most schools are in mind to just leave them as they are. Good ol Bro Paul would have none of that and made baking classes that are integrated in the school curricular activities for these particular classes. Its good to see that the man honestly tries his utmost best to equip all his students under his care as best as he can for their lives ahead of them.

From a student's perspective, Bro Paul Ho was always the jovial fella where anyone could just crack a joke at him when he's walking up and down patrolling the halls of the school and he would respond in kind with jokes of his own. He was never one of those scary ass headmaster who seemed to walk with a shroud and a scythe which kinda made him a sorta hero to most of the students.

Anyways.. . . the post was a tribute to the last of the Brothers, Bro Paul Ho. Have a happy retirement !

Post Examination Post

First and foremostly, thanks for the well wishes and good lucks cause i sure as hell needed it.
And after a long 2 weeks the exams are finally OVARRRRRR !! I'm feeling a little bit mixed with my performance and i really have no clue as to what to expect for my results. .which will be coming out in about a few weeks time. So until then its just fun, fun FUN !

Anyway, i just had my graduation ceremony and graduation party yesterday. The atmosphere was a good one really as everyone was just beaming with a sense of freedom and we were all looking our best. On the last part, it took me a little by surprise really to see most of my friends all dressed up in suits and ties and the works. Anyway, about the graduation ceremony itself, its pretty bollocks in the way that you don't really know how you did for the finals and wouldn't really mean that you actually graduated foundation year. But whatever you know . . .its nice that there's a ceremony and everything to signal the end of nearly nine months of studying in Unsw Foundation Year. So yeah , after the graduation there were some refreshments and snacks for us to eat and chat up and take pictures with our fellow foundation year people and teachers. I don't know if i've said this before but in all honesty, most of the teachers that i have had in my stint in foundation year were the best teachers i've had. I'm used to teachers that come to class and dictate shit from the textbook or something but teachers here are like honestly interested in your progress and are always eager to help you out on any problems. Some of me foundation friends(From left to right)Edwin and Hariadi from Indon, Naing from Myanmar, Otto from Indon, Husaini from Malaysia and me in the middle crouching down.

Aside from the graduation ceremony itself, there was a graduation party on a cruise ship. .. . well not the cruise ship you're thinking of but rather a downsized version of a cruise ship which pretty much did serve its purpose. No complaints from me there really. .Anyway, the party was like 4 hours long with the initial 2 hours a kinda dinner with snacks and the latter 2 hours an all out rave party. Hahhaah. Yeah the events were split up by the levels where the rave party would be downstairs and the bar would be upstairs. Throughout the party i was just . .well i was just socialising really .. no hard drinking or mad dancing or anything of the like but just chilling out and stuff. However i would like to point out an incident where i came down from the relatively quiter bar upstairs and saw a whole group of people crowding around something. I checked it out and saw that it was some dude dancing his skinny ass off . . .he wasn't like remarkably good or anything but it took some cojones to get out there and strut his stuff so i commend him for that. . . UNTIL he started feeling up a pole and proceeded to do a mock pole dance and strip which was the time i told myself "Ohkayyyy its obviously time to get back up to the bar" Hahahaha.

So anyway, i've got a month or 2 to do whatever i want . .which will probably be:

1) Going around the city with my parents who are popping down in a week
2)PS3-ing
3)Freeloading on the university internet access with my friends to play multiplayer games
4)Gym-ing
5)more PS3-ing

Anyway thats it for now

Snikt !

Okay. . updates.

I went to watch Wolverine : Origins not too long ago and i have to admit. . .i was pretty let down by it. I mean its not that bad a movie really, its just well it felt a little underdone for me. I don't really know why actually. I mean the movie did stick pretty close to the comics when it came to Wolverine's origins and the action scenes were superbly awesome . .. . .I guess i was expecting more blood, more bad-assery from wolverine and a little more from Deadpool a.k.a Weapon XI. I'll probably get the videogame of the movie (which i might add after looking at the gameplay vids does not look all that bad) which has the first two in copious amounts :D Fanboy Excitement ENSUES !!However, i would like to add that there is no doubt that Hugh Jackman was born to play this character. No two shakes about that !

Other noteworthy things is a trip to a French restaurant called Le Pelican somewhere in Darlinghurst. My sister found this restaurant from her constant research on good food outlets on the internet. Suffice to say, her sources were right on ! For starters, I shared a dozen raw oysters . Oysters were pretty good, as was as good as any fresh oysters of sound quality you find anywhere. . . but then again, raw oysters are raw oysters, they're good as long as they're fresh. Moving right along to the main . . .now French food is reknowned for their microscopic portions but tremendously rich taste. Anyway i had me a Eye Fillet Steak, which was surprisingly not microscopic but the taste was as expected rich and very fulfilling. Compounding to its already rich sauce was the tenderness of the medium rare eye fillet itself. It was so good to the point that the act of eating it itself was like letting your tastebuds watch an opera and a intense action movie simultaneously. They get an overall feeling of awe by the depth of the taste and yet is fueled and uplifted by the superficial taste of it at the same time. Simply awesome. Now after finishing my main, i was like "Whoah this shit is fucking good .. .lets just have desserts and move on to hungry jacks cause i'm still pretty hungry". Little did i know that aforementioned desserts were honestly the BEST part. Desserts we had were the Creme Brulee(honestly though, how could you go to a french restaurant and NOT order the Creme Brulee? Pfft), Black Fig Souffle, and my personal favourite the Cheese Platter. Uhm .. .i don't really remember how the Creme Brulee tasted like cause i was just overwhelmed by the Cheese Platter and didn't really bother about anything else but i do remember the Fondant being pretty good itself but even better when combined with the previously unheard of olive oil ice cream ..cue WTf???! . Hahah . YES ! Olive oil ice cream or olive oil sorbet as the call it. I don't know how they do it, but olive oil ice cream tastes just like vanilla ice cream with undertones of olive oil. FARROUT !! But the real star of the show was the Cheese Platter. The cheese platter consisted of 3 types of cheeses simply named Hard Cheese, Soft Cheese and Blue Cheese and some french crackers.
Hard Cheese: The hard cheese came with a topping of blueberry if i'm not mistaken and when consumed with crackers or by itself, it tasted just like a blueberry cheese cake would . It was THAT smooth. The texture was just simply too DAMN smooth. I just have no other word for it than smoooth.
Soft Cheese: The soft cheese was a delight in itself, it would be my equivalent of a dainty petite girl with the sweetest smile you've never seen. It was like the cheese's texture was in between that of melted cheese and normal cheese. Fucking perfection.
Blue Cheese: The mother of all cheeses. I've been a fan of blue cheese for quite some time now but the blue cheese at Le Pelican made me a cheese-fearing believer !!! Hahahah

Anyway thats it for now i suppose. A week till me final exams and i'm blogging. How awesome is that?

PS: Guys, i'm still in the singles club man. I don't wanna be there but i'm STILL THERE !!

Concise

The girl i like doesn't like me. . . . How fucking typical.
